Today I want to show you how to build your very first money making website. Once you see how simple it is to build these little “money machines” you can simply rinse and repeat and do the process over and over again. Eventually your efforts will compound and you will likely have a small fortune to show for it. get started in building your online empire by following these simple steps:

Step 1 – Find Niche/Keyword Research

Before you start building your site you first need to find a niche that your interested in. This can be anything but keep in mind that typically the more specific the niche, the better. For instance, you could choose “cooking” as your niche but that is a very broad market you would be going after and you’ll likely have a tough time making any money. A far better option would be to niche it down further to maybe… “gluten free cooking”. This is a much more specific category that speaks to a narrower audience that is more likely to convert into a sale.

Once you find your niche, you need to do some keyword research to find low competition keywords. There has been entire books written on keyword research and it’s probably worth your time to read them. I always recommend Bring The Fresh to newbies because that’s how I learned and I believe in the product. I’m not going to get into the specifics of keyword research here but basically you want to find additional keywords within your niche that are low competition and then we can write blog posts focused around these keywords. These blog posts then get found by the search engines (i.e. Google) and will show up in search results when these keywords are searched for.

Step 2 – Build Your Money Getting Machine

This step seems complicated and technical but it’s actually the easiest part. First things first, you need to get a hosting package that will host the websites that you build. There are plenty of hosting companies that you can use and most of them are good but I’ve had the best experiences with Host Gator.

Host Gator is a reliable host that has excellent customer service and is much cheaper than competitors like GoDaddy. Host Gator also has a great feature that allows you to auto install the blogging platform “WordPress”. WordPress is great for building sites like this, it’s incredibly simple and easy to use. Once WordPress is installed simply add some content to the site with a post or page focused around each keyword. Within this content you can promote affiliate products or your own products. Alternatively you can have an entirely content driven site (no products or promotions) and then make money through Adsense. I have had plenty of sites making $15 a day in ad revenue.

If you decide to promote a product, make sure the product is good! You don’t want to promote crap. On all of my sites, I only promote products that I have used and truly believe in.

Step 3 – Drive Traffic

This is where most people struggle but it’s not hard. Typically your going to drive traffic to your site using either search engine optimization (seo) or pay-per-click (ppc). If you’re on a budget I would suggest that you start learning about SEO first since it’s free traffic but bear in mind that it does take a little more time and effort though. But don’t let that discourage you, if you did your keyword research correctly you should begin seeing decent traffic to your website within a few days or weeks. They key here is to just keep at it. Keep adding more valuable content to your site, keep promoting your site through the SEO methods that you learn and you will undoubtedly succeed.
